What Are The Components Of A Christmas Tree? 

The main components of the Christmas tree are tubing heads, tubing hangers, flanges and some valves. The valves mainly include oil nozzle (throttle valve), production wing valve, wax removal valve, main valve and casing valve;

Tubing head

The tubing head is installed on the upper casing head to support the gravity of the tubing string and seal the annulus between the tubing and the oil layer casing. Working pressure of tubing head: 1000, 2000, 3000, 5000, 10000, 15000, 20000psi. The rated temperature is -18°C-121°C. When completing the well, the rated working pressure of the tubing head is generally selected as the formation fracture pressure, which matches the rated working pressure of the tubing hanger.

Tubing hang

The tubing hanger is a device that sits on the cone seat of the tubing head to suspend the tubing string and provides a device for sealing between the tubing and the cone seat. Generally, there are tapered tubing hangers, eccentric tubing hangers with cable through holes, self-sealing tubing hangers, and double tubing hangers. There is a BIW cable crossing port on the tubing, two 1/4inNPT hydraulic control pipeline crossing ports, and a 3/8inNPT chemical injection port. The tubing hanging port is a 4-1/2inEUE thread port.

Upper flange

The upper flange is located between the oil pipe head and the oil pipe cross, and the lower flange plate has a 1inLP pressure test hole and a 1inLP injection hole.

Tubing cross

The tubing four-way is composed of a wax removal valve, a main valve, and a production wing valve. It is an integral Christmas tree. The lower part is connected with the upper flange and the upper part is connected with the Christmas tree cap.

Christmas tree hat

The Christmas tree cap is installed on the wax removal valve on the top of the Christmas tree. It is used to provide an entrance to the tubing space quickly from the vertical direction. Just remove the Christmas tree cap. The bottom of the Christmas tree cap is API flange or thread.
